ACCET Extends ICC's Accreditation
Wednesday, December 12 2007 at 2:35 pm The Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) has extended Intercultural Communication College Hawaii's accreditation until 2010. Accreditation is your assurance that ICC and its programs are regularly evaluated by an independent agency and have met high standards for quality.ACCET is an independent agency that reviews and certifies continuing education and training programs in the US. The agency was founded in 1974, and has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a reliable authority in certifying the quality of institutions of higher education and training. In 1998, ACCET became the only recognized accrediting agency to be certified as an ISO 9001-Quality Management System, under the international standards established by the International Organization for Standardization, and continues to hold that unique status.
Accreditation through ACCET is a rigorous process and involves site visits, review of an institution’s financial statements, and adherence to quality standards.
