ICC Hawaii Student Featured in "Signals"

Friday, February 22 2008 at 1:50 pm ICC Hawaii student Setsuko Tsuchiya was featured in the winter 2008 edition of the Thomas Edison State College student newsletter "Signals".

Setsuko was a student in ICC's College Studies Program and received third place in the 2006 East Coast Writers' Awards for her personal essay about her first experience as a Japanese in an American restaurant.

- Setsuko Tsuchiya is also a competitive ballroom dancer -

Setsuko entered her essay in the competition while she was still a student in the College Studies Program at Intercultural Communications College Hawaii. "My English courses not only prepared me for college success, but also opened the door for me as a professional writer - in English!" says Setsuko.

Setsuko is a Licensed Massage Therapist (Hawaii MAT 7969) and holds massage therapy clinics at ICC every Friday afternoon.
