GNUE University in Hawaii

12 college students from GNUE University in Korea came to Hawaii to study teaching methods at the elementary school level. The 4-week intensive program consisted of teaching methodology courses and observation plus student teaching at Koko Head Elementary school in Hawaii Kai. This program, which was put together by ICC Hawaii, proved to be a great learning experience for the students. Here they are posing in front of the office on their first day on campus, along with their professor from GNUE, Dr. Sol.
Fun in the sun at Lanikai Beach!

SILC group joins ICC Hawaii for 3 weeks of learning and exploring. ICC Hawaii’s Circle Island Tour took them to Lanikai beach in Kailua, Hawaii. It is a beautiful white sand beach on the East shore of Oahu. Six students (Thomas Barnouin, Cyrielle Calmels, Alexandre Crozon, Gabriel Druilhe, Constantin Henri, Marion Noalhyt) and group leader (Christophe Labbe) jump for the picture. ICC엔 무언가 특별한 것이 있다

잠시 당황하고 그러다 또 익숙해지고 웃고 떠들며 육개월이 지났다. 이제 학원 등록기간을 한 달 여 남겨놓고 지난 시간을 돌이켜 보면 가끔은 가슴 벅찰 정도로 충만했던 순간들과 때로는 해결책이 없을 것만 같은 영어의 장벽에 부딪쳐 낙심했던 순간들도 떠오른다. 수많은 사람들이 이곳을 다녀가고 다시 각자의 나라와 생활로 돌아간다. 그리고 끊임없이 이곳을 그리워한다. 이곳을 떠난 지 한참이나 지난 친구들도 내게 facebook으로 안부를 물으며 선생님은 잘 있냐, 학생들은 많냐, 일일이 학원의 사정을 묻곤 한다. 나 또한 이제 학원등록 기간을 몇 주 남겨둔 채 귀국 준비로 분주한 마음 한편으로는 커다란 아쉬움이 남는다. 내가 떠나고 다시 이곳에 채워질 웃음들과 추억들이 아깝고 질투 나는 마음 한편으로는 나 또한 이곳이 너무 커다란 그리움으로 남게 될까봐 안타까운 마음도 드는 것이 사실이다.
